Right Resolution Community Interest Company (CIC), formed in 2007, which is not for profit and is required to provide benefit to the community. Our commitment is to use our expertise to empower, involve and develop the potential of vulnerable children and young people through advocacy, social education and participation.
Our work supports young people leaving care aged 16 - 24, who require additional support and guidance in regards to education, employment and training. Right Resolution is currently based in both Northamptonshire and Peterborough. Our Northamptonshire project, at present, can support up to 15 young people and Peterborough 10. Referrals for the project come from a number of different professionals including social workers, personal advisors, accommodation support services as well as providing the opportunity for young people to self-refer.
There is an increasing need to support young people leaving care in regards to education, employment and training. The year 2013-2014 saw 10,310 young people aged 16+ leave care, an increase of 50% in comparison 10 years previous (DfE, 2015). Outcomes for young people leaving care show that 39% of former care leavers are not in education, employment or training, 1/4 of homeless individuals have been looked after and face concerns regarding self esteem, mental and emotional well being and attachment issues.
Our work supports young people to develop holistically as well as empower young people through the transition into adult life.
