Discovery Days Project
This project is also known as the 16+ project in our Peterborough office.
The discovery days project aims to provide opportunities to engage in social activities, training and volunteering.
This video was produced by three University of Northampton students.
Empowering Young Males and Females Project
Thanks to funding from the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner we launched two additional projects which fell under the umbrella of the Discovery Days project. Our 'Empowering Young Males & Females' project was an 8 week project exploring topics related to young people.
Examples of this included mental health, domestic abuse, healthy relationships and awareness of crime such as gangs.
The gardening project is part of the 'Wellbeing Wednesday's' tasks within 'Discovery Days'. It is aimed at young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). The project can be used as work experience by the young people, and provides the young people a safe space to learn and grow.
Thank you to Goodwill Solutions for providing us the space to facilitate this project, and an additional thank you to Sports 4 Fitness CIC for donating the gardening equipment we used for this project!
These donors are essential and without their contributions we would not be able to provide resources where needed.
